The Texas Municipal Courts Education Center mourns the passing of Judge Matthew R. Dixon of the Arlington Municipal Court, who passed away on September 21, 2026. A longtime member of the Texas Municipal Courts Association and a valued TMCEC faculty member for many years, Judge Dixon will be remembered with gratitude for his service to the municipal court community.
Judge Dixon loved God, his family, and his pets. He freely shared his faith and showed compassion and kindness to others. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, two children, and all his family, friends, and colleagues.
