Our speakers bureau has a list of Municipal Judges ready to come to your classroom and teach students about the court system and traffic laws.

This lesson is an interactive presentation using hypothesis to teach and test a students knowledge of the law through a game-show format. These lessons are ready for a Municipal Judge or Court Personnel to use in your classroom. These may also be adapted by a teacher to use as well.

This lesson explores the jury trial process and the people's right to a trail by an impartial jury. This lesson also covers Municipal Court jurisdiction and the number of traffic offenses that occur. Significant legal changes keyed to the 2008 edition: this 5 page handout identifies significant changes to current law as stated in the 2008 edition.


Significant legal changes keyed to the 2004 edition sent out by TMCEC: this 9 page handout identified significant changes made by DPS in a later edition and notes where current law differs from what is stated in the 2004 edition.

Both handouts were compiled by TMCEC staff attorneys and measure a 5x7" paper size for you to cut down and slip into the handbooks.
