TMCEC Educational Programs for JCMs

TMCEC has received a supplemental grant from the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals to offer training for JCMs in conjunction with TMCEC existing programs in FY 12.  Please watch this page for an announcement of the four webinars that will be offered on the TMCEC Online Learning Center. 

In FY 12, TMCEC is also offering a four-hour class on Managing Juvenile Cases as a pre- or post-conference to its regional judges and clerks programs.  Juvenile case managers are invited to attend this afternoon program (1:00 - 5:00 p.m.) on the dates and sites listed below.  There is no registration fee to attend.

Managing Juvenile Cases:  This four-hour program will focus on: 1) the Texas juvenile justice system and the role of municipal courts; 2) intake and administrative matters in juvenile cases filed in municipal court; 3) legal, logistical, and ethical issues relating to juvenile case managers in municipal courts; and 4) permissive and mandatory transfer from municipal to juvenile court.

TMCEC is planning four webinars for JCMs, and interested judges and clerks. Click Here for a description.  Go to the TMCEC Online Learning Center to register one day prior to the event.

On May 17-18, 2012 there will be a conference for JCMs at the Omni Southpark Hotel in Austin.  Registration fee is $50.  The agenda and promotional brochure will be mailed in late February.  We encourage you to Register Online, or download agenda and registration form. Clerk Certification Testing has been added to the conclusion of this seminar. A test registration form can be found here.
